Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Ron is a co-founder of PolarSat and directs all of PolarSat’s customer facing organizations that include the marketing, world-wide network of sales and distribution channels, customer service, program management and field engineering. With over 30 years of wireless communications experience he brings international business understanding for both commercial and governmental program capture and successful execution. He is focused on delivering what was promised with operational excellence so the customer is proud of the network they have deployed using PolarSat equipment and services.

Prior to co-founding PolarSat, Ron was Director of Business Development with NSI Communications Systems where he lead the effort to acquire the FlexiDAMA product line and subsequently had the responsibility for running this division with 25 employees from engineering to production.

Ron has been working with the VSATPlus product line since 1997 when he joined ComStream as the VSATPlus II Product Line Manager and was involved for technical support to the international sales in both the SCPC and DVB product areas.

Prior to joining ComStream, Ron lead the development of an SCPC DAMA System at Interstate Electronics. Once this product was developed he supported the sale and deployment of this system for NATO communications between all of the multi-national peace keeping sites deployed in the former Yugoslavia after the Dayton Peace accords.

Ron began his carrier as a Communications System Engineer for Hughes Aircraft working the first mesh adaptive router to run over a variety of military radios. He developed the hardware and software that allowed for a dynamic routing of such radio links as: SHF SATCOM, link-16, E-PLRS, Singars and Tri-band SATCOM radios.

Ron holds a BSEE from the University of California, at Los Angeles and a System Engineering certificate.

In his spare time Ron loves to do woodworking, metalsmithing and painting.
